Essential Question: Why have handheld geometric tools lasted throughout history and how has geometric software improved accuracy in geometric application?
Do Now: Observation on the three handheld geometric tools including ruler, protractor and compass
Notes: Depending on your period, covering the main ideas discussed on page xxi and practicing how to properly use the tools
Practice: For tomorrow 8/20, read section 1-3.

- Using the Protractor on Section 1.3 #12-14 pg 25
- Using geometric software Section 1.3 #1 and #2 (for the software problems I do not expect you to know how to do, but I want you to play around with the software with a problem in mind. Please do not take all night doing this software problem as long as you can learn how to use it and we will work more with the software in class)
- Short 2-3 sentence research on the essential question (due until Monday).
