Overall, the projects came out really great!! I was pleased to see the results
However, here are some of my feedback for all my classes on how to improve for next projects: READ all provided resources: Students who followed the rubric received full credit, meanwhile those who overlooked directions and expectations lost points ASK QUESTIONS; in many of your opinions, some stated you were confused at certain points, You have my email and access to Remind, I am always here to help you!! TAKE OWNERSHIP OF YOUR OWN LEARNING: The project could have easily became an "elementary school" project, however at the Math 2 level within the Geometry Unit, the big question is "WHY?". Why do the specific triangles have certain features? How are some of the triangles you drew congruent? (All in the rubric). Your research should have been conducted rather than "triangles are formed in a pizza" with statements you already know. You could have done the minimum to get the grade or actually taken this seriously to provide value for your education. COMMON CORE: Regarding your opinions about the art and English comments, math is not an isolated subject anymore. UP does not have an art class and that was my main motivation, to provide a creative space for students within math. Integrating math within other subjects like art are connections we need to start seeing and applying. Additionally, you wrote a report NOT an essay. I provided a sample so you were not worrying about the format, only the content. You were stating the mathematical reasoning and research conducted for your project. OPINIONS PRESENTED: I provided a space for you to give me your feedback on the project. Additionally, the opinion was to remain towards the project, not opinions about me or the class. I did say to be as honest as you would like, but also remember our professional relationship as student and teacher. I READ EVERYTHING and some criticism were provided eloquently while others seemed like an attack. Remember you are always are going to be provided a space for your opinion in my class, but start developing professionalism in how you do. It will have a deeper effect when you can present yourself professionally!! That is all, lets move forward to positive and open minded attitudes towards our future projects!! I want to address everyone's personal learning styles at some point or another! Comment below with responses to any of the questions or pose a question to review in class:
